Meet Alison: Owner and Therapist
I am a multi-disciplinary professional with over 25 years’ experience across dentistry, therapeutic healthcare, rehabilitation, and complex care coordination.
My career began in Sheffield as a qualified Dental Nurse, later extending into oral health and radiography. Building on this foundation, I trained further in Anatomy, Physiology, and Massage Therapy — opening the door to a career in rehabilitation.
I work with elite athletes, professional performers, and individuals recovering from life-changing health events. in the past I served as team therapist for GB’s Wheelchair Basketball Team, supporting them worldwide.
I also treat many other professionals including footballers, golfers, swimmers, climbers, and West End actors/dancers.
My focus has always been on keeping people performing at their best - whether on the court, stage, or just in daily life.
Alongside usual clinical practice, I’ve partnered with insurance providers on post-accident rehabilitation, developing specialist expertise in treating people with Traumatic Brain Injuries, Permanent Disruption of Consciousness and Major Poly trauma - maintaining a commitment to safeguarding (holding an enhanced DBS and Level 3 Safeguarding certification).
I work confidently with both adults and children
My work took a deeply personal direction when my son was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease and Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome. This experience launched me into the world of SEND law, NHS Continuing Healthcare, and disability advocacy. I have successfully led legal and funding challenges to secure tailored health and education packages. I now manage a full care and education team, overseeing recruitment, training, DBS checks, payroll, therapy planning, and auditing. I am happy to offer support and advice in these areas.
I’ve enjoyed contributing to medical market research, including usability testing for the NHS App’s and patient-friendly feedback on NHS drug information leaflets.
Above all, I am passionate about helping people navigate complex systems with confidence and dignity—whether in healthcare, rehabilitation, or education. My goal is to make support services more human, responsive, and accessible.
Key areas of expertise:
